Noon Was the Hour

Noon Was The Hour is a new devised play by an ensemble of international artists. It is an associative, kaleidoscopic journey that follows a very old lady who meets a very old dog. These lonely clowns become unlikely friends and take the audience on a journey through the ordinary and the extraordinary, as only they can do together. Through their companionship and an investigation of cultural ritual, we celebrate life's unexpected moments, challenging unconsidered grief. Our development process has received the SITI Company Mentorship grant as well as the Quantum Echoes: BIPOC Rehearsal Space Access initiative from IATI Theater. As an ensemble, we have been developing this play with SITI Company member Kelly Maurer’s mentorship and IATI’s support throughout the fall of 2024. The artists working on the show are established in the US and internationally. We are founders and members of various international theater companies, with professional experience that includes teaching, transdisciplinary art, theater, film, and dance. The show is currently in development.
